What is Visual Metaphor Trainer?
An educational Android app for exploring symbolism, visual metaphors, and creative thinking. It combines a concept library, a visual atlas, short practice sessions, a Metaphor Builder, and creative cards.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account is required. The app’s learning content works offline, and the app does not request internet permission. Store, sharing, and support actions may open other apps that use the internet.
Are there advertisements or in-app purchases?
The current app contains no advertising or in-app purchases. Store pricing and public availability are publisher decisions and have not been confirmed for this website.
Do I need to know how to draw?
No. You can explore and interpret the images without drawing. Creative cards can be answered in any medium, including writing notes about an idea, photography, sketching, collage, or a design tool.
Is there a drawing editor in the app?
No. Creative cards provide prompts to take to your own tools or materials. The Metaphor Builder combines an object, an action, and an environment; it is not a freehand drawing editor.
Why might I disagree with an interpretation?
Visual meaning is contextual. Feedback offers a suggested reading and its reasoning. Culture, experience, and the surrounding composition can support a different interpretation.
Where is my progress stored?
Preferences, practice history, explored concepts, and saved ideas are stored in the app’s private storage on your device. Android may back them up or transfer them according to your system settings. See the privacy policy.
How do I reset my progress?
Open the app and go to Settings › Your data › Reset progress. This clears history, streak, explored concepts, and your collection. To clear preferences as well, use Android’s app storage settings. See deletion instructions for backup details.
Can I turn off reminders?
Yes. Reminders are optional and scheduled locally. Turn them off in the app’s Settings or in Android’s notification settings for Visual Metaphor Trainer.
Where can I download the app?
